Making the Krotona Coffee Table

The Story
The Krotona Coffee Table is a commissioned piece from local Sycamore.
The client has a toddler and wanted no sharp corners. I came up with an organic outline and used hand-planed facets to eliminate any dangerous corners, creating a geometric, gem-like appearance.
It features a book matched top with slab legs, tied together with a stretcher. Shouldered wedged tenons in white oak securely join the top.
It shares its slab legs and keys with the Matilija Table, and the faceting began with the Sespe Speaker Stands.
